Our Ministries \ Pastoral Care

“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.” John 13:34

Following God’s call to “love one another,” the church is deeply committed to caring for others, especially during times of uncertainty, transition, or crisis. Through our extensive Pastoral Care Ministry, we partner with God and each other to provide timely and confidential care for members and friends of the church in a wide range of circumstances.

The pastoral care team is supported by Rev. Chris Delmar, Minister of Pastoral Care & Nurture.  She works closely with the other ministers of the church, a Pastoral Care Coordinator, a Pastoral Ministry Leadership Team, Stephen Leaders and Ministers, and the Deacons to discern how best to meet pastoral concerns, along with a dedicated caring web of many volunteers to ensure that anyone needing care receives it.  We provide home and hospital visitation, crisis intervention, resource referrals, bereavement counseling, programs on caring, fellowship events, prayer shawl and prayer chain ministries, flowers and meal delivery during illness or crisis, arranging transportation to church for members who would not otherwise be able to be present, and support groups.

All of these ministries allow us to concretely share God’s love and comfort as we walk along together in faithful community.
