Hurricane Isaac and Our Mission Partners

As of Monday night there is a mandatory evacuation for low-lying areas of Harrison County, which includes the area we worked in in East Biloxi this year.  They’re expecting storm surge tides of 8-12 feet, and there will probably be some sustained flooding in areas with poor drainage, but as of Tuesday afternoon there was just couple feet of flooding right along the beach as the storm approached.

We will continue to update this blog as we receive further information from our Mission Partners.  Please keep them in your prayers!

Hello everyone! This is Tom Jones COO at Hope
Thank you so much for your prayers and continuing support! It is Thursday morning and we have made our way back into the office. We were fortunate and the facility is fine. The rain and wind continues but it appears the worst is over.

We will be assessing the damages over the next few days and assisting those who need us. We do know at this time one of our Board Members homes has flooded. She is in the City of Pascagoula, just east of us. Keep her in your prayers.
It is comforting to know we have our extended family in New Canaan praying with us.
    God Bless!
Tom and all of the Hope Staff
